Serve Many Towns? How to Rank in Each One Without Copy-Paste Pages
One page for "all of Sri Lanka" ranks nowhere. Here is how to build location pages that rank in each town you serve, without copy-paste text Google ignores.

Short answer: create one page for each important area you serve, and make each page genuinely local: the service in that area, local prices or travel times, local reviews, photos of jobs done there, and answers to questions people in that area ask. Pages that only swap the town name are ignored by Google and by customers.
A pest control company in Colombo serves Dehiwala, Maharagama, Kotte and Negombo. Its website has one page that says "we serve all areas". It does not rank for "pest control Maharagama" or any other town. Its competitor, with a proper page for each area, takes those calls.
Why does one "we serve everywhere" page fail?
Google matches pages to searches. Someone searching "pest control Maharagama" wants proof you work there. A page that lists twenty towns in a sentence gives Google nothing to rank, and gives the customer no reason to believe you.
What should each location page include?
- A clear first line: "Termite and pest control in Maharagama, with same-week visits."
- What is different there: common local problems, building types, travel time, any extra charges.
- Local proof: reviews from customers in that area, and photos of jobs done there.
- Prices or a price range for that area, if they differ.
- Local FAQs: "Do you cover Pannipitiya?", "How soon can you come to Maharagama?"
- Easy contact: call and WhatsApp buttons, with your hours.
How do you avoid duplicate content?
Do not copy one page and change the town name. Write each page around what you actually know about that area. If you have nothing specific to say about a town yet, do not create the page. Start with the areas where you have customers, reviews and photos.
How should the pages connect?
Link each location page from your main service page, and link back. Add the areas to your Google Business Profile service area. Mention the area naturally in captions and posts when you finish a job there.
How do you gather local details?
Ask your team. They know which areas have older houses, more flooding or longer travel times. Take photos on every job and note the area. Ask customers in each area for a review that mentions it.
How long until location pages rank?
Smaller towns with little competition can move within weeks. Busy areas take longer. Track impressions for "service plus area" searches in Search Console to see progress.
