Don't Know What to Blog About? Your Customers Already Told You

Stuck for blog ideas? Your best topics are the questions customers ask every day on calls and WhatsApp. How to collect them and turn them into a year of posts.

Short answer: your best blog topics are the questions customers ask you before they buy. Collect them from calls, WhatsApp chats, emails and reviews for two weeks, group the similar ones, and turn each group into a clear, honest article. Twenty-four strong questions give you a year of content at two posts a month.

Most businesses run out of blog ideas because they look for "content". The ideas are already in your inbox. Every question a customer asks is something other people are typing into Google and ChatGPT right now.

How do you collect the questions?

For two weeks, ask everyone who talks to customers to write down every question they hear, in the customer's own words. Use a shared note or WhatsApp group. Also look at:

  • Emails and messages from the last few months.
  • Your Google and Facebook reviews.
  • Questions on your Google Business Profile.
  • Searches in Search Console and Google's autocomplete.

How do you turn questions into topics?

Group questions that have the same answer. Then sort them by how close they are to buying:

  • Before buying: "How much does it cost?", "How long does it take?", "Which option is best for me?"
  • While choosing: "What should I look for in a provider?", "What is the difference between X and Y?"
  • After buying: "How do I maintain it?", "What if something goes wrong?"

Start with the "before buying" questions. They bring the most enquiries.

How should each article be written?

Use the question as the title, in the customer's words. Answer it in the first two sentences. Then explain with examples from your work, real price ranges and honest trade-offs. End with a link to the matching service page.

Why does this work so well?

Because these questions have real search demand, they come with real buying intent, and you can answer them better than any generic website. AI tools also favour content that directly answers specific questions.

How do you keep it going?

Keep the question list running all year. Every month, pick the two questions you heard most often and write about them. Your content plan writes itself.

Questions

What else do people ask about this?

In your customer conversations: calls, WhatsApp chats, emails, reviews and sales meetings. Add Google autocomplete, People Also Ask and the searches in Search Console.

Consistency matters more than frequency. Two good posts a month that answer real buyer questions beat four thin ones a week.

AI can help with drafts and structure, but the value comes from your real experience, examples, prices and opinions. Always edit and add what only you know.
